Welcome to Tea and Scriptures!
We believe the Word of God and a good cup of tea are amazing tools for health and healing. In Ezekiel, the Word of God states in chapter 47:12 – “And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”
There are many negative things on the Internet these days, but nothing compares to the positive impact the Word of God has on our lives. In our community, several people are hurting, and they feel no one is there for them. Let’s prove them wrong!
Each blog post can be printed as a healing tool for someone who needs that little word of encouragement. It also has the scripture in a song for easy learning. As a child, we learned best by singing our alphabet to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” As adults, it still has the same effect. Music, from rock and heavy metal to rap, hip hop, R&B, etc. use the same method for us to learn what they wanted us to think, feel, or portray.
Christian music began to take shape by adding drums, piano, and other instruments to reach the same audience, letting the scripture sink in at the same time. I can admit, when I hear the scripture in church, it immediately triggers the song in my memory. We may not know the chapter and the verse but we will know the Word of God. And when someone misinterprets it, we will know the difference. AMEN!
So sit back, click on the link provided to you and listen with me as we learn the scriptures. Also, relax with that healing cup of tea that God has created for us.
To get started:
Remember, our time on earth is just temporary until Jesus calls us home. I believe this song is fitting for our days here on earth. It’s only a rehearsal. When you listen to the words, reflect on the realization that what we are dealing with now will not last forever. How fitting is this song that brings back the memory of my late grandmother that passed back in the early 80’s. It was a hard realization that we are not meant to stay here forever, but we must be prepared for what God has in store for us when we leave. Hallelujah!
Tea for the week: Green tea with Lemon. Bigelow makes a great tea that is soothing to the throat for the common cold or for allergies. With the shifting of the weather, I find it useful when my throat feels a little dry or sore.
