“He’s Able” – Voices of Unity featuring Darwin Hobbs is the song for the week
As I talk with individuals that declare the “path” they have chosen is best for them, will they still ask for prayer when something in their universe is not right? Where is their faith? What is the belief that allows them to come to your God for prayer?
The devil is here to kill, steal and destroy by telling them the word of God is “for them,” but it is for all of us. The belief that prayer changes things has been the guiding force through many changes within our lives, our communities, and our health. Knowing the love of God will fill the darkest of days for those struggling with some kind of depression, illness, or addiction.
Addictions are not always drug related, but it is something that is difficult for that individual to cope without. My main addiction is the word of God. It is a healthy addiction as I know I cannot live without Him. I believe with HIM, my dark days will soon pass and his light will forever shine. In Ephesians 3:19-21, it says:
To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Get to know him today. Your life will forever be changed.
Patrick love – The vision is the song for the week
Recently, I walked across the stage to receive a master’s degree. It was a long hard road, but I am grateful for all who were involved to help me get there. I had a vision, I wrote it down and let my family know what I needed to accomplish. Nothing in the world could take that moment away from me nor can anyone else.
The word of God is the exact same way. Once the scriptures are in your mind, they tend to manifest in the most amazing ways. God knew what he was doing by giving us a road map to navigate this thing called LIFE. Anything you want to do or want to accomplish….DO IT. When it is complete, give him all the glory.
The word of God states in Habakkuk 2:2-4
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
How fitting is this song at the time when others are graduating from high school or college. Or from a change in life that has them believing God has gotten them through it. Let’s celebrate with them and sing along to this song.
Tea for the week is Bigelow’s – English breakfast..ahhhh!
Many Blessings to all the gradutates,
It dawned on me as I was eating breakfast this morning that we need food to survive. There are so many varieties of food that we have to choose from; we can choose the good or the bad.
It was the Lord’s intention that we live a healthy life with what he created from the earth, the sea, and the land. Processed foods were definitely not in the plan. Of course, I am guilty of going to a fast food restaurant and picking up something quick without thinking of the consequences. Organic or farm-raised foods are the best way to give your body the nutrients it needs.
Although I struggle with this fact, I have realized that food is not everything that God is. His word states, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”. Matthew 4:4.
Nothing like a God Sandwich
Man Can’t Live By Bread Alone by Bill Gaither 1978
A mother’s love is beyond any love here on this earth. Women are made to be nurturing and caring, and to motivate their children with that extra push they need to succeed. My amazing mother has pushed me to be the person I am today and I am truly blessed for that. God knew what he was doing when He put her in my life and I’m sure you think the same about your mother or a mother figure in your life. Think about it, it’s kind of true right? Well, they could not have done it without help. That help comes from the Lord himself. My mother and father raised six children, five of which are their own. I knew it was not an easy task, but I noticed she never took her focus off of the FATHER for his guidance.
Lift your hands with me and sing along for this is when the scriptures come alive. The following chapter is one of my favorite chapter and really gets me through difficult time.
Psalm 121 – I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
My Help (Cometh From the Lord) by Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir
“Are you ready” by James Cleveland & the Metro Mass Choir is the song for the week. I often hear “I’m not old enough” or “I’m not ready.” Growing up, I was taught to always be prepared for anything, whether it was studying for the latest test or preparing for a job interview. Is that our same thinking when it comes to our salvation? What are you waiting for? Who could you blame? The Word says, “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be”. Matthew 24:36-37.
I am ready. Are you?
