Bind It

The song for this week is It Shall Be Done by T.D. Jakes.

I am always asking for a deeper knowledge of the word of God. We are to constantly seek for understanding or we will fall by the wayside. In so doing, I allow God to tell me who I am, not let others say who they think I am. Negativity is all around us and it’s the devil’s job to tear us down and make us feel like we are not worthy of love, friends and compassion. Bind that foolish talk in Jesus’ name.

As children of God, we believe that whatever we say is bound or loosed here on earth as well as heaven. The person you used to be is not who you are now. Your past in darkness no longer exists but your future is now in the light.

Matthew 18:18 states

Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

No Condemnation

The song for the week is by Anthony Evans – No Condemnation.

I thank the Lord that he does not condemn me for the things from yesterday. His grace in our lives is amazing. Can you imagine someone taking your faults from as far back as childhood and constantly saying that you’re that same person?

God has given us the freedom to be who we are as children of God. We can be anything, like the actor, the singer, the doctor, and even the lawyer. Our past no longer defines us in his eyes as long as he gets the glory. Who I was then is not who I am now.

The word clearly states in Romans 8:1-4 that,

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

The Armor

The song for this week is Put on the Armor of God by Shirley Caesar.

It seems like I spend a lot of time alone or away from what would seem normal to others. My “normal” is spending time with the One who gives me life versus finding it by trying to fit in. Peer pressure has not been one of my weaknesses as I have realized everyone is not allowed to be in your circle. That includes some members of your family.

I have realized over the years that the Spirit of God does not react well with the spirit of darkness and could be why some people may not like me. Yes, we all want to be accepted, BUT GOD protects me from the things I can see and from things I cannot. His spiritual guidance has led me on a path that allows me to sleep without medication, and on most days, arise without an alarm.

Peace like that can only be found in the Father. He has given us the tools to fight the enemies we see, and I have put Him in front of me to fight the ones I cannot. For all I know, there may be a battle for my life that I’m unaware of, and I want to keep it that way. Praise God hallelujah.

To stand and fight the enemy, the word of God states in Ephesians 6:13 – 17

Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
