The song for the week is “A Living Sacrifice” by Christian Worship
Growing up in a large family, I didn’t have many opportunities that most were “blessed” to have. I worked hard to have the things I didn’t have as a child and yes, I’ve spent my entire life striving for things I didn’t want because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do. You see, I figured I had something to prove, but to who or whom? Striving for the biggest house, the best car, the highest level of education, popularity, etc. may provide temporary achievement, but can be very lonely without family.
But here and now, I’ve realized that I don’t have to prove anything to anyone anymore. Most of all, I don’t have to prove anything to myself. I am good enough and perfect the way I am.
His Word says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 #strivingforGodsexcellence
