Write the Vision

Patrick love – The vision is the song for the week

Recently, I walked across the stage to receive a master’s degree. It was a long hard road, but I am grateful for all who were involved to help me get there. I had a vision, I wrote it down and let my family know what I needed to accomplish.    Nothing in the world could take that moment away from me nor can anyone else.

The word of God is the exact same way.  Once the scriptures are in your mind, they tend to manifest in the most amazing ways. God knew what he was doing by giving us a road map to navigate this thing called LIFE.  Anything you want to do or want to accomplish….DO IT.  When it is complete, give him all the glory.

The word of God states in Habakkuk 2:2-4

And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.  For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

How fitting is this song at the time when others are graduating from high school or college. Or from a change in life that has them believing God has gotten them through it.  Let’s celebrate with them and sing along to this song.

A God Sandwich

It dawned on me as I was eating breakfast this morning that we need food to survive.  There are so many varieties of food that we have to choose from; we can choose the good or the bad.

It was the Lord’s intention that we live a healthy life with what he created from the earth, the sea, and the land.  Processed foods were definitely not in the plan.  Of course, I am guilty of going to a fast food restaurant and picking up something quick without thinking of the consequences.  Organic or farm-raised foods are the best way to give your body the nutrients it needs.

Although I struggle with this fact, I have realized that food is not everything that God is.  His word states, “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”. Matthew 4:4.

A Mother’s Love

A mother’s love is beyond any love here on this earth.  Women are made to be nurturing and caring, and to motivate their children with that extra push they need to succeed.  My amazing mother has pushed me to be the person I am today and I am truly blessed for that.  God knew what he was doing when He put her in my life and I’m sure you think the same about your mother or a mother figure in your life.  Think about it, it’s kind of true right?  Well, they could not have done it without help.  That help comes from the Lord himself.  My mother and father raised six children, five of which are their own.  I knew it was not an easy task, but I noticed she never took her focus off of the FATHER for his guidance.

Lift your hands with me and sing along for this is when the scriptures come alive.  The following chapter is one of my favorite chapter and really gets me through difficult time.

Psalm 121 – I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.  The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.  The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Welcome to Tea and Scriptures

book and cup

Welcome to Tea and Scriptures!

We believe the Word of God and a good cup of tea are amazing tools for health and healing.  In Ezekiel, the Word of God states in chapter 47:12 – “And on the banks, on both sides of the river, there will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither, nor their fruit fail, but they will bear fresh fruit every month, because the water for them flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for healing.”

There are many negative things on the Internet these days, but nothing compares to the positive impact the Word of God has on our lives.  In our community, several people are hurting, and they feel no one is there for them.  Let’s prove them wrong!

Each blog post can be printed as a healing tool for someone who needs that little word of encouragement.  It also has the scripture in a song for easy learning.  As a child, we learned best by singing our alphabet to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.”  As adults, it still has the same effect.  Music, from rock and heavy metal to rap, hip hop, R&B, etc. use the same method for us to learn what they wanted us to think, feel, or portray.

Christian music began to take shape by adding drums, piano, and other instruments to reach the same audience, letting the scripture sink in at the same time.  I can admit, when I hear the scripture in church, it immediately triggers the song in my memory.  We may not know the chapter and the verse but we will know the Word of God.  And when someone misinterprets it, we will know the difference. AMEN!

So sit back, click on the link provided to you and listen with me as we learn the scriptures.  Also, relax with that healing cup of tea that God has created for us.

To get started:

Remember, our time on earth is just temporary until Jesus calls us home.  I believe this song is fitting for our days here on earth.  It’s only a rehearsal.  When you listen to the words, reflect on the realization that what we are dealing with now will not last forever.  How fitting is this song that brings back the memory of my late grandmother that passed back in the early 80’s.  It was a hard realization that we are not meant to stay here forever, but we must be prepared for what God has in store for us when we leave. Hallelujah!

Tea for the week:  Green tea with Lemon.  Bigelow makes a great tea that is soothing to the throat for the common cold or for allergies.  With the shifting of the weather, I find it useful when my throat feels a little dry or sore.
